From what I understand, the USB stick is for patches and updates. I guess you'll get them from your PC and use them to update the wii game?lisalover1 wrote:Aww... http://www.dqx.jp/Oh, well. I can just keep dreaming, I suppose.
Seems a weird way of doing it considering the wii, despite the crappy online, is capable of getting extra content online for its games, as seen in guitar hero.
Re: Dragon Quest X conference details
Dragon Quest hasn't been developed in-house since DQ1. This is the first one since then to be developed in-house. So we'll see how this goes. We really need more details; if I can play the whole game offline then I'm interested.

EDIT: I've really got to visit other sites before coming to Racketboy. Apparently you have to go online? Well my hype just dissapeared.

Where? I kept staring at the screen looking for it and didn't find it. It seemed to be still turn based combat.MrPopo wrote:Holy shit, that's an ATB in Dragon Quest.

I thought online is optional to beating the game?Pichu wrote:EDIT: I've really got to visit other sites before coming to Racketboy. Apparently you have to go online? Well my hype just dissapeared.

If you watch one of the gameplay videos you'll see him in combat, and a menu pops up, and he takes his action. Then he can move around a bit, then the menu pops up again after a period of time. There was no end of round transition like in the standard DQ turn-based style.jfrost wrote:Where? I kept staring at the screen looking for it and didn't find it. That's what I read after watching the conference, but after taking a quick look around, SE apparently says to get the "full experience," you have to go online. I'm assumin that means Monster Hunter Tri style, with the multi online, as well as special quests. While the main game can be done offline. That's what I'm hoping.Opa Opa wrote:I thought online is optional to beating the game?Pichu wrote:EDIT: I've really got to visit other sites before coming to Racketboy.
