Re: Girly drinks
I'm a beer drinker, and occasional hard stuff (rarer nowadays though), but if Mike's Hard is the only alcohol at a party I'm a sucker for it.

Free alcohol is always good alcohol. I'm only a snob when I'm paying.

All light beer in my opinion is girly, yet is primarily drunk by men. Go figure.

Anyways, I also invented a drink called "Classy Whore" but I don't think it's too girly, it's Black Label whisky with Squirt.
You're ruining your whisky. However, vodka and squirt is a thing of beauty.

I've known plenty of women who have complex tastes for liquor. It just depends on the person.Hatta wrote:No, men drink things with flavor. Women cover up flavor with sugar and artificial flavors. A good beer or a good aged bourbon will have greater complexity and depth in its flavor than any mixed drink could hope to have.Hazerd wrote:apparently men only like drinking stuff that taste like shit, and women like things with flavor, thats all i got out of this.
Of course, there's nothing inherently gender linked about this. And women have complex tastes for other things. e.g. chocolate. Good dark chocolate is as bitter and complex as anything a connoisseur might enjoy. It's just one of those weird cultural things.
Personally, I don't care for beer (odd considering my family used to own a brewery, but there you have it) I'll admit I like some fruity drinks (some of those fruit and chocolate wine smoothies are a wonderful thing in the summer), but I'm also particularly fond of bourbon. I've never thought about alcohol in the context of being "girly" or not. Honestly, I don't really care what alcoholic beverage I drink as long as it doesn't taste like rubbing alcohol.

I never understood this. I now work at a gas station selling alcohol, and I see guys come up with Bud Light, Miller Light, Coors Light, Natural Light, etc., far more often than I see someone grab a simple Budweiser. But why? It's not like these guys are trying to watch their weight or something. And Bud Light's not cheaper than Bud. Why drink it?saturnfan wrote:All light beer in my opinion is girly, yet is primarily drunk by men. Go figure.
To answer the question, I honestly can't say I've had too many girly drinks. In fact I can't remember any of them. The closest I can come up with is a drink called a Urine Sample, which tasted exactly like its name. I'd just rather have a beer I guess.
