what type of television do you play your classic consoles on

I use a 4:3 LCD monitor, so I can both use it for emulation and convert s-video to VGA for the physical consoles. Doesn't take up a lot of room, doesn't consume a lot of power, but allows for a whole lot of fun.

I've found that any SDTV is greater for classic gaming, in my opinion anyways. Maybe it's just the TV's I've bought, but most newer LCD's and HDTV's make everything look all jaggy and unappealing to me.

I used this 20" Emerson Standard Def LCD when I lived up in Alaska:

I figured it was the best of both worlds -- should (hopefully) last for years and it doesn't scramble my retro games. Now I just need to ship it down to Oregon

Sharp 25" CRT 4:3 with 1 component (non-progressive ;_;), 2 s-video/composite, 1 composite only, and audio out (connected to thoroughly separated stereo speakers).
I have this great cable that plugs into the d-term/composite jack. I connect the PS3, PS2, and Wii that way (and it has the 360 plug on there for whenever I pick that up). I really like it better than the gaming switch boxes I used to use.
I also run my PC out to the same TV via S-video for MAME (and other emulation sometimes).

Although I should for better picture quality, I don't dare put the PS3 on the HDTV in the living room with my kid running around there.

But I'm hoping to get an HD CRT soon. I really just want a progressive set more than the HD aspect of it (flicker is starting to get old).

and my TATE television is a Philips TV 20PT6441 51 cm (20") real flat
(which i think i want to paint red... running a CaveBox360 and occasionally the Saturn or Dreamcast)


I love the picture on both of these televisions.

A Phillip's 60cm, use to be the family TV. It's great, even has compatibility with 60hz.

Luckily by chance the dude lives about an hour from here.

I have a 14" Sony PVM-1390, which is a bit on the small side but the picture is incredible, especially through RGB!
