I want to make a GBC into a small arcade cabinet

the Hyper Boy is indeed a thing of beauty.

How does it work? It's driving me potty trying to figure out how it works.

GB slides in the casing. The screen is lit up and magnified. The HB's button-overlay hits the GB's button. The HB's arcade stick hits the GB's d-pad. Most interestingly, the arcade stick has 2 settings: 4-way and 8-way.

So it's mechanical? I was trying to think if there was some extra port or something on the Gameboy. Does it work well?

yeah it seems pretty solid. I've used it to play Galaga mostly. It's unfortunate that it doesn't fit the GBC though because really even with the magnification and light the screen is super blurry for a lot of fast paced (arcade style) games.
