I got everything in working order. Thanks for everything, though I feel like quite a fool now due to the simplicity of my problem and my inability to comprehend what needed to be done... Thread closed!

Glad you fixed it. Okay spill the beans, after a page of trouble shooting what did you do? Component or Composite? Even though a SDTV, go with Component for the cleanest signal. I'm still curious what model number Universal Remote you tried?
