Egg yolks aren't gonna make you fat anyway. Eating fat doesn't make you fat, eating processed sugar and gluten makes you fat. There's too much misinformation out there about this kind of thing. When you eat fat, you pretty much burn it. When you eat processed sugar, your pancreas makes a ton of insulin and takes it all out of your blood and stores it (along with a bunch of other harmful side effects that process sugars create). People make a big fit about eating yolks, but you never hear about staying away from the bowl of gluten and sugar (cereals) or rolls, bagels, and other breakfast pastries at the breakfast table.
Egg yolks are very good for you. They have a ton of nutrients. The cholesterol debate, well, I'm no expert, but from what I've read/heard I think it's mostly BS. If Americans ate more eggs and less gluten and sugar, they would be a lot less fat. And a lot more healthy. Your teacher has no idea what she's talking about. The yolk is the best part of the egg. Not that it's her fault, like I said, there's a lot of misinformation out there. But you should tell her that she's dead wrong. I'm not saying the yolk condiment is a good idea, but you should definitely correct her on what she thinks of the egg yolk. Ask her to consult a nutritionist if she doesn't believe you.

I just talked with a doctor right now about the idea and he said the idea wasn't bad if I were to actually have the spine to go through the negative press and explain everything. I mean gee, they sell bottled water and look how much of a success that was! lol

I'm sure it'd last as long as egg whites in a carton. If such a thing existed, I would make sure to eat more toastelmagicochrisg wrote:Yup, as long as you find a good way to preserve the yolks...AdamGomez1987 wrote:you mean it?the teacher told me my idea is more suitable for dog food. . . now that's just rude!

Pretty sure your body does store a negligible amount of (processed) fat, but alongside your intestinal tract as it is trying to fir a majority of it into your stool. (Ditto with the cholesterol found in the egg.)Ziggy587 wrote:Eating fat doesn't make you fat, eating processed sugar and gluten makes you fat... When you eat fat, you pretty much burn it. A whole egg is good for you; not quite so sure about fried since you're injecting more oil into the egg and altering it with additional heat and minerals from the pan.
I'm allergic to egg whites (still eat 'em anyway) so go YOLK. But the yolk-in-a-can is actually used in the food industry. Either to be put in the processing process or to be used in fast-food eateries for a quick omelette.Ziggy587 wrote:Your teacher has no idea what she's talking about. I like bran. Why don't people eat more bran? (Or oatmeal for that matter.)Ziggy587 wrote:People make a big fit about eating yolks, but you never hear about staying away from the bowl of gluten and sugar (cereals) or rolls, bagels, and other breakfast pastries at the breakfast table.

Screw the toast...
I'd add them to my omelettes to make them extra tasty. Add a little bacon, onions and mushrooms. A little lightly steamed brocolli on the side, and voilà, you've got yourself a tasty healthy meal...

now that's what I'm talking about! Actually one of my guilty pleasures is eating pancakes with eggs and I would just eat the egg whites first and leave the yolk behind for both one slice of toast and the remainder for my pancakes. The start of a beautiful relationship, especially at Bob Evans!elmagicochrisg wrote:Screw the toast...
