Actually, Phantasmagoria was released as a Saturn exclusive in Japan.kingmohd84 wrote:I really don't have that feeling, most games I remember are just as good as they used to be for me. The only thing is kicks me is that graphics usually look a lot worse than I could remember. For example street fighter alpha looks a lot more pixelated that the smooth anime graphics i had in mind. And I remember Phantasmagoria being that game where you play in a movie and fmv is jaw dropping. When I looked back at it now, I can't believe the fmv looked so bad, its like video on SNES! Which is weird since it was on 7 cds! not cartridges and it even plays on a PC not a console, so i figured all the hardware and software necessary to run a good FMV was within consumer reach in '96 the release of the game.

But the port sucks, the video quality is even worse, it comes with 8 Discs, anything remotely sexual was removed, they changed the soundtrack, some gore was edited, etc.lisalover1 wrote:Actually, Phantasmagoria was released as a Saturn exclusive in Japan.

Heart of Darkness. Back when it came out I remember the graphics being like ULTRA AMAZING and then going back and watching videos of it now...It just looks average.

Legend of Kage. I used to LOVE that game when I was a kid. Now I can't play it more than a minute. Ikari warriors, too.

for me it was Ranma 1/2 Hard Battle for the SNES. I would go to my local KB toys just to play it at the kiosk.
I've tried to look for it afterward, but I could never find it.
I gave up and a few years ago I finally played it emulated and I realized that it wasnt all that great.

Super Battle is much better. Not quite up to SFII, but much more enjoyable. Too bad it is only available as an import.flojocabron wrote:for me it was Ranma 1/2 Hard Battle for the SNES. I would go to my local KB toys just to play it at the kiosk.

accually I do own it! it is a nice game. A little slow, but its moves are quite similar to SF. I bought it at a fleamarket for $3 bucks!

I agree, it's incredibly cheap AI, it's small roster of fighters and horrendous last battle make the game even worse now than before. I still loved MK2, MK4, Deception and Shaolin Monks.flamepanther wrote:Mortal Kombat is the very first thing this topic makes me think of.

I thought about Bubsy 2 but it's been a while since I've played it. I remember renting it and enjoying it possibly only because it was infinitely easier than the first one.AppleQueso wrote:BUBSY BUBSY BUBSY BUBSY BUBSY BUBSY BUBSY BUBSY BUBSY
