Shmups wise how long would the games last me? I'm planning on selling Assassin's Creed 1/2 so I might have some more money, and I love shmups, but I really need something to last me while I save up. I have the L4D games by the way.
Systems: Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, N64, Gamecube, Xbox 360

WTB: Boxes for a silver Gamecube System(and a hyperport cover), and a box for an Ice Blue N64 console. Will pay 7.50 for each and shipping.

Well, shmups are all about how much you put into them.. If you're looking for a long and engaging storyline, you're in the wrong genre, (as you probably know..) I'd say go with Raiden Fighters: Aces, as they have more than just one game, and if you like to shoot for earning achievements, it'll make the game more competitive for the single-player and you'll get more enjoyment out of it.. (One of the rare times Achievements in games are a good thing!)

And yeah, like Betamax said, if you wanna go for SFIV, get Super Street Fighter IV - more with it! However, if you enjoy unlocking things in games through repeated play - the first version, Vanilla, requires character unlocking, where as Super SFIV comes with everybody unlocked out of the box.. Up to you!

Also, have you considered renting games? It might be the most affordable way to go, as many programs charge a low, monthly fee ($20) and allow you to keep a game as long as it takes to finish it!

I see that you have a GBA. My recommendation is to get Advance Wars 1 & 2. It's a war strategy game that's a lot of fun. I've been doing 1 scenario each day.

Go to garage sales and see what you can find.
WAY more bang for your buck sometimes.

Or, buy a half ounce of silver and watch its value increase over the next year.

Nope, it's on 360 as well, and the 360 is the perfered version. The PS3 version suffered slowdowns and frame skippings from what I heard
If you aren't having a good time, why are you playing?

Awesome game at a bargain price. I agree. This game has such a cool atmosphere to it that really captures the dark feel of the Batman from the comics. It blends stealth and combat PERFECTLY and even gives you the feel of the Detective side of Batman.
