Sounds like you need to get an official power supply. I had a cheap dual nes/snes ac adapter that did the same thing as you are describing.

Pardon? The SNES power brick puts out 850mA, which is .85 Amps.
Whoops, .9 amp is what I meant.

This is the ac adapter that I'm using right now.

It says it outputs 9V - 850mA however on the ac adapter itself it says it "DC 10V 1000mA". Maybe it is a problem with the ac adapter? But how does that cause problems with the graphics?

If you send the wrong voltage to something you can expect it to behave improperly. It looks like the adapter might be sending too much electricity to the SNES, causing the erratic behavior you're observing.

That's the same AC adapter I had. An official Nintendo one will fix it.

I can't believe they're allowed to sell those junk adapters as being compatible with certain systems. It seems like False advertising if the adapter doesn't meet the specs of the machine its advertised for.

Thanks the AC adapter fixed it. What a piece of crap that retrobit adapter was.

You should see the Retrobit RF adaptors. Had to use one on an old TV and it was giving me snow and I knew it wasn't the console or TV.

Opened up the adaptor and the PCB was dirty as hell. Plus every single joint was cold. So cold when i touched my iron to them they crumbled like cake icing. Stevie Wonder could have done a better job assembling this thing.

Not even worth it to clean, recap and rejoints. I've had nothing but problems with their products so a bad power adaptor is no surprise. Official one worked flawlessly and I even picked up another just in case the one in use needs to be fixed.
