Can we please change the topic from "Gamecube 101 is Live" to "Gamecube 101 is Love"?

Cause that's how I feel about the purple cube of awesome.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Great Article! :D

Emulation was mentioned of running Gamecube software in a PC. Maybe expand on this and mention the Gecko Card for the Gamecube? The GC is a prefirmware console, easily soft modded with a SD card that can run SNES, Genesis and Homebrew without any fear of bricking.

Maybe also a mention of PSX adaptors to use a wide range of PS1 and PS2 controllers on the Gamecube.

Wii64 for the GC isn't too bad either.

The article says that it supports DVD which I disagree with. It supports the Nintendo GameCube Disc format which is the size of a mini-DVD. Nintendo did this as well as on the Wii to avoid having to pay the DVD consortium any licensing fees. Their partner, Panasonic, did introduce the Q in Japan to give people the ability to have a Gamecube that could play DVDs.
Not sure how I overlooked these -- especially since I own a microphone plus 4 sets of bongos....

overall an excellent article. I haven't posted here in a very long time, but I'm going back to the Gamecube full throttle & this article was great with some of the 2D suggestions. Always appreciated :P

Awww shucks

Supprising how 4 people contributing to an article can still completely overlook that...

I love how this article seemingly coincided with my recent interest in the GC again.

I'm playing through Metroid Prime for about the umpteenth time again.

Metroid Prime is the reason I started writing for this piece.

Worth every penny of the console and game combined, even if you never play any other GC game.
