I only played the 360 version and the DS version. I prefer the DS version because you can use the stick thingy.

I've only played the iPad version, but it seemed to be rather suited to the touch interface on that.

I've only played it on PC. It requires some quick and precise movements, especially in the later levels, so I wouldn't want to play this game with a controller. It feels like it was designed with the mouse in mind, but I imagine that a stylus or touch screen would also work well.

It's a game that lends itself to being played in short bursts, so it would be fun to play on a portable device if you're thinking you will mostly play it on the go, but it also has that addictive "just one more level" feeling to it, which would make it good for a longer sit-down session at a computer.

Well, I don't tend to game much on the go. So I'll be at home. I'm leaning towards playing it on PC based on the comments in this thread. It's one of the few games my PC can run

Is Steam the best way to go? Is there a difference between the Steam and Retail versions other than Steam having achievements?

Thanks for the responses guys, it kind of seems to me like there is no real consensus on best version, but I went for the Steam Game of the Year version for now. I can see myself buying a cool little game like this more than once though. Too bad they removed MJ from the game. I can't see why an homage to Michael Jackson is someone offensive to the family

Yeah, I thought it was great when the MJ zombie would come out and do a little thriller dance. His family is weird though. I think Michael would have loved to be in another video game given that he loved them so much.

Yeah, it's like they don't know who he actually was. Weird

swiftzx wrote:I really like the ds version of PvZ, followed by PC and iOS version. I didn't like the ps3 version since it took too long to do things after playing the other 3 versions. I'd go with the ds version for the following 4 reasons: it's portable, easy to use (stylus), extra modes (fun minigames), and ds download play!
I've played the PC & the DS versions a lot. I think the DS version is best for the reasons mentioned above. The download play is a lot of fun. The stylus works really well for control.

I actually got myself a copy of the not-Game of the Year cd version too, just because its got Michael in it. Disco Zombie is not nearly as cool. Gives me an excuse to play through this cool game again too!

so I picked up the PS3 version today when I was shocked to stumble upon a budget-priced physical release that included bonus games. I must say, this game is just completely awesome. I am really glad I finally gave it a go. Wow.
