Idiots In Online Games

when the engineer update happened, I was in a game where everybody was an engie. It was awful. So of course I go Demoman and unleash Scottish Hell. Get kicked for "griefing" after dominating the admin.

Oh, man I remember that update. The servers were stuck on Hightower, which is one of my favourite maps now, and it's a great map for spy. Couple this with nobody spychecking engies and it was a massacre XD

I have been kicked or banned several times, all sniper-related. Yes, I can hit Scouts, perhaps if you stopped moving in a straight line you would be harder to hit

I only played a game online once. It was LittleBigPlanet, and I didn't like it. SOmeone playing Sackgirl kept hitting me with a frying pan, then proceeded to follow me no matter what I did. So I quit the game and played solo mode instead, and never came back.

Agreed, just about every online game has its share of assholes, dickheads, and morons. Starcraft 2 especially seems full of them. I once had a guy follow me into several multiplayer games and worker rush me because he was upset that his cheese tactics (cannon rushing, to be specific) weren't working on me. QQ!

I was playing Gears of War, and I was leader on Guardian. Like always, the team runs off to do their own crap and get kills. I was doing good, the enemy leader was dead, and there was one enemy left. THE WHOLE TEAM rushed him, and he picked them off from across the map with his sniper. I downed him with some long ranged Lancer shots, but as he whent down he fired a sniper shot, killing me. My team decided to play hump him. He got up, and shotgunned all of them. I'm tired of people like this....

Speaking of the new TF2 players, should I get it? My computer can handle it, but I'm not sure if I want to download it. How is the community? Can I have a friends list? Mikes? Will I be destroyed playing with my 360 controller? (Laptop, no real mouse...)

Community can be good or bad. The biggest problem is when it gets stupidly divisive. For example, you had the halo incident, where Valve punished people using idling programs to illegitimately get hats, and gave those who were doing honest drops halos. Then you had the whole "heals for halos" shit where medics would only heal players who were wearing the halo, which was countered by non-halo wearers specifically attacking those with halos.

Steam has a built in friends list system. You also can activate a plugged-in mic by pressing "V" in-game.

You could play TF2 with a 360 controller, but you'd be at a disadvantage. Buy a usb mouse. they're cheap.

I was up late one night, had one of those WWE SvR games out on rent, decided to go online, and I won't lie, it lay somewhere between glory and misery. You know those taunt
thing you can do? Yeah, this guy kept doing them, specifically the crotch chop. I mean, the only insulting part of that is that it's meant to be insulting.

Just had another one. I was playing Left 4 Dead 2, on Expert, on the last level, about 4 feet from the helicopter. My teamate shoots me, killing me, and I don't get to finish the level/get the achievment. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-

Damn, didn't think a 360 controller would kill me that much. I might download it later, I'll see if I feel like it. Don't you have to buy something to use the steam friends list though?
