Falling Asleep
Re: Falling Asleep
Earlier this week I was playing FEAR 3 when I was sleepy and I managed to fall asleep while walking down some stairs in the game. I had the volume up pretty loud, and after what must have been several minutes of having fallen asleep and walking into a corner at the bottom of the stair, my finger pressed R2 and the shotgun blast echoed through the room waking me up in a real terrifying shock. Biggest scare I've ever gotten from a FEAR game

I got in that half-sleep doze and ended up Audino-grinding my team in Pokemon Black to level 60 over the course of two hours. I had it sort of mechanized at that point.

I fell asleep once while playing co-op Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King on Gamecube with my cousin over at his house. We stayed up until 2:00 AM playing the game and outta nowhere I just dropped my head and started sleeping. Couldn't help it.
I feel old when talking to anyone my age yet too inexperienced to effectively talk to anyone older. Life is grand that way.

Keep playing, it gets betterKillerJuan77 wrote:Assassin's Creed, it's so BORING.
I've never fallen asleep while gaming but I've used it to help me get to sleep (I'm a bit of an insomniac). For example last night I played my Game Boy until 2.30am and I slept like a baby.

Usually games that have repetitive action, like playing against the bots in Perfect Dark or Red Faction.AppleQueso wrote:If I've ever fallen asleep during a game it was probably because I was simply really tired.
Same here. I've never forced myself to play a game that I find boring, to the point that it put me to sleep. The times when I have fallen asleep midgame are more frequent, though. Since my job only leaves me the wee hours of the morning as available game time, and that I've been on a Champions Online MMO kick lately.
There was even a time when I woke up with the keyboard's spacebar in my mouth.

I don't think I've ever fallen asleep grinding, but I have gone from being wide awake to drifting. Grinding is one of my least favorite parts of RPGs.AmishSamurai wrote:I got in that half-sleep doze and ended up Audino-grinding my team in Pokemon Black to level 60 over the course of two hours. I've fallen asleep during a game, but because I was tired, not bored.
Its happened a few times, I couldn't tell you which games were involved.
There's been many times where I stubbornly stay awake to do something, be it games or something else, despite the fact that the only thing keeping me up at all is my chin hitting my chest.

And I can say i have spent 99 of those days bored.

Re: Falling Asleep
I did finish Assassin's Creed. It was a bore, like watching Sleep by Andy Warhol.

I've lived with that 5 years (Ever since I was 14-15 years old)and it's HORRIBLE, I saw over 5 doctors until one actually had a diagnostic and a "cure" (Sleeping pills).
