They are news media just as much as something like ESPN or E! is. All are entertainment news media, but still news media in that they report news.
Right, they are similar to E!.

I've been watching Game Center CX on the Wii and 3DS for months now. It's a great show.

As someone who has been watching the show for the past couple of years, I'm pretty pumped that its finally getting some sort of showing in the U.S. I don't agree with everything that is on Kotaku, but will I visit it for Game Center CX? Hell yeah!

Damn it's torture watching this, haha.

Awesome! I've always wanted to watch this, nice to finally see it with subtitles.

I loved Retro Game Challenge for the DS, so hopefully this explodes and creates some interest in the brand so that they can bring the sequel here too. /wishful thinking

How odd that there has been no fansub for this show for so long...

I remember watching these at game shops years back. I never bought the DVDs (they were crazy expensive) so every time I went to a game shop they were playing a new volume or one I haven't seen before. Over the course of several years I ended up watching them all!

It's great that somebody finally put English subs so that more people can enjoy Arino's antics. The English commentator is kind of annoying, though. Seems like they are trying to copy the Sasuke approach. I think it's best to just leave it the way it was made originally. If you guys like Arino you should check out his earlier comedic performances from the mid to late 90s.
