Forza is a sim-lite series, I wouldn't really recommend it to the OP. Nor GT for that matter. Far too much driving to unlock cars and tracks.

I've been enjoying WipEout HD Fury immensely, so I highly recommend it. If you could, take advantage of the welcome back deal so get it for free for PSN.

Though I should mention that despite the fact that I don't even own an Xbox 360 I must say Forza 4 is going to be the best racing game ever once it comes out. Because it will be the only racing game with Jeremy Clarkson voice overs.

Yes, pick up Wipeout HD for free from the PSN Welcome Back package. It's hard as hell (especially in the later races), crazy fast, and a whole lot of fun. Just don't expect it to be as pick up and play friendly as Mario Kart. You might have to spend an evening with it to get a hang of the unique physics.

I've been itching to get a PS3 just for Mod Nation Racers. But it's going to be on PS Vita so I'll hold out... But you should check it out, it looks great!

It is great, both on PS3 and PSP. It's very much what Mario Kart should have evolved into, if Nintendo wasn't continually dragging their ass in the sand. The track builder is so easy to use, and you basically have infinite replayability because of it. Has anyone here played Blur? I heard it was like a realistic mario kart.
I should also mention that I'm not a HUGE fan of super realism in racing games, like I hate it when you do turns and you slide.
