PSP
Re: PSP
There are plenty of games worth playing on the PSP.
There are RPG's that have been updated from the PS1 release -> Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions, SMT: Persona; while are also great original titles for PSP -> Jeanne D'Arc, Half-Minute Hero...
With PS Vita coming up and the end of UMD, I think there can be a spot for the PSP on Racketboy, as it is the most successful handheld console NOT by Nintendo.

Re: PSP
Thank you guys!
Sorry Bradtemple87. I did a quick search on "psp games" and nothing came up. Feel free to link me to another thread you found.
My friend won it from one of the machines where you have to cut the thread.
Recently I have been playing Silent Hill Origins. I like it so far.

Re: PSP
There's a great port of Guitaroo Man on the PSP, which is a fantastic rhythm game like PaRappa or Space Channel 5(though quite a bit tougher than those games). Also, there's Daxter if you want a 3d platformer, Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops and Peace Walker if you're into the Metal Gear series, and Final Fantasy Crisis Core which is a pretty cool action rpg that is a prequel to Final Fantasy 7. There's more good titles on the PSP than it ever gets credit for, even more so when you factor in emulators

Re: PSP
I have found myself setting it down a lot. I get frustrated. I think it is interesting. I hope I will stick with it.Holy crap somebody likes this game! Good for you! (I'm not being sarcastic, btw.)
Every time I try to play this I end up putting it down; I'm glad you're enjoying it.
Re: PSP
To me it feels like a very well made fan-made game. It's kind of cool in a way, certainly more enjoyable than Homecoming.Opa Opa wrote:Holy crap somebody likes this game! Good for you!PixelPixii wrote:Recently I have been playing Silent Hill Origins. I like it so far.

In the many words I'd use to describe those games, "cool" and "enjoyable" wouldn't be amongst my choices.brunoafh wrote:To me it feels like a very well made fan-made game. It's kind of cool in a way, certainly more enjoyable than Homecoming.
But that's neither here nor there. I'll save those words for another time.

Even though it's major thread derailment, I'm curious as to what exactly your gripes with the game are. I'm a BIG time Silent Hill fan, and I'm pretty sure you are too, so I find Silent Hill Origins a very interesting entry into the series, as the major fans debate whether or not it's total shit or a decent entry into the series.Opa Opa wrote:In the many words I'd use to describe those games, "cool" and "enjoyable" wouldn't be amongst my choices.

I think of it as separate from the actual series of course, but like I said above, it just feels like a high budget fan game. When I first played it, I was pretty entertained by it. I certainly wouldn't replay it or anything, but the core gameplay is classic Silent Hill, and I found that appealing, even though the things that TRULY make a Silent Hill game (plot, characters) were completely and utterly absent.
