You mean create a successful OS and then absorb all the competitors? Number 1, don't think he alone did all this. I'm pretty sure Bill Gates has fellow minions who help destroy the competition. Number 2, it's called business. Get over it. If you don't like what he did and want to get back at him, just steal a bunch of MS software off teh intarwebz. Not buying his products does nothing. Plus, buying a used XBOX doesn't help Microsoft in any way, shape, or form. They're not getting money from you buying it from some random eBay seller. Then you can just pirate all the XBOX games and you're set.abeisgreat wrote:I dont like bill gates because of what he did to get this big.

But there is a flaw in your plan, metaleggman!
Now I'm not too flash on the Xbox mod scene but from what I remember, the only way to pirate Xbox games onto the HDD is by ripping the CD straight off the disc drive, isn't it? And if you aren't going to bother buying them you only choice is to rent them which is eventually going to heighten your spending spree quite a bit...
Now unless you can download Xbox Disc Images (they would be quite giant and take ages anyway, so why bother?) and shoot the through a LAN cable between your PC (or your router?) and Xbox, then there isn't really any minimal spending strategy...
But if somebody can recorrect me on that, I actually wouldn't mind learning about the Xbox modding scene! But, really, I'm holding out until they crack open the 360 and figure out a decent method to "backup" *cough* and homebrew e.t.c
And, wouldn't you be better off getting a PS2, ramming in a HDD and purchasing HDLoader? Prehaps it's personal preference....
Ah well, I'd be interested in any replies!
Cheers,
Ducky
