Or, ya know - they could just reuse the Shadow Moses sections from Metal Gear Solid 4. They practically recreated the entire first games' locations with that particular chapter.

I was always hoping that recreating MGS1 with MGS4's resources was something that would happen.

So very very stoked for this. The first time I played MGS1 I thought it was the greastest thing I have ever seen in my life. I got a ps2 for MGS2 after two years of waiting, and I got MGS3 on release date. Twice. I got my ps3 with the MGS4 bundle AND I bought a special edition version of the game. I bought the essentials collection and now I'm still totally ok with buying them all again. Zone of the Enders is one of the most fun mech games I've ever played and one of the best looking ps2 games of all time. Now everything is prettier. SO EXCITED!

Hmm... should I sell my MGS3 Subsistence Limited Edition now, or hope that this will somehow increase it's value?

When I watched the video for this news, I sat back in my chair and let out a sigh of despair. I have no money for anything right now, yet I'm still gonna buy both of these, even though I already own most of those games.

My wallets gonna be hurting real bad for the rest of this year. I can only hope I can save up enough till next year for the ZOE collection.

I've been watching alot of Gundam lately, and have been getting very interested in other mech stuff and Zone of the Enders looked cool, the first one was cheap and the second one was a bit much IMO, so the collection is much appreciated :D I think I can wait a year or so for it.

It irritates me to no end that the MGS COLLECTION doesn't include MGS 1; I am interested in Peace Walker though (how can you not include the first MGS... it just seems wrong). Also, the ZOE collection is welcome; I have the 2nd game and never played it since I haven't found the first game in the wild. Guess I'll drop the PS2 game on eBay now and get the HD collection when it comes out :)

Konami also announced a Silent Hill HD Collection; which doesn't include the original Silent Hill or Silent Hill 4... I dislike having an awesome moment of glee torn down by these types of decisions.

Are you joking? (with me just talking about finally playing all of them, if this is real this is awesome!)

I'm stoked for this stuff, especially for Peace Walker no doubt. Them not doing MGS1 doesn't bother me at all honestly... I've played the original too many times and it's just ingrained in my memory in every way, I hated Twin Snakes, etc. The PSX version is just how I like it! But the PS2 era games and Peace Walker I can see benefiting a lot from a nice facelift. That said them including the original MGS1 as is would have bee nice too.

ZoE1 I didn't like very much, but ZoE2 is incredible.

Silent Hill 2-3 HD remakes sounds amazing as well.

Take my money Konami.

Nah I wouldn't sell it, that limited edition is awesome. I think it's much cooler than some HD re-releases.

Nope. http://gematsu.com/2011/05/source-devil ... set-for-e3

Just a rumor, but c'mon. This is Capcom, re-releasing games is like their calling card.

Metal Gear Solid HD Collection

do we have a thread about this?

MGS2, 3 and Peace Walker will be included in the PS3 collection and what's even cooler is that Peace Walker will allow you to share yr game save between the PSP and PS3. Pretty awesome.
