Nobody builds a PC more than I build my Lego sets. It's called assembling a PC :lol:

Obviously, it's your time and money, so do what you will. However, I spent in the neighborhood of $2500 back in 1999 to build a computer and I have regretted it ever since. It was a monster, no doubt, but anytime I had a technical problem I had to call the motherboard manufacturer, who told me to call the video card manufacturer, who told me to call the RAM manufacturer, ect. Now I buy something with a good solid base, add RAM, a video card and I'm happy. Just my two cents.

Great article comparing whether or not to attempt building a $500 value machine; in the end you will get more performance if you get the right prices for specific parts.
