There are plenty of international devs teams.

Quite a few in the UK too apparently, according to Edge magazine anyway.

Well obviously, there's the likes of the GTA series, which is British. Rayman is French as well.

....all we got to show is a brutally old school mmo, Darkfall Online (also known as Darkfail   , though if you want to laugh at how pathetic people in the industry and game reviewers can be, google darkfall eurogamer), and some low budget games, like World Basketball Manager http://www.wbmgame.com/, and Us and Them http://wbmgame.com/uat/

Then from the rest of Europe, there is Pyro studios from Spain, who made the excellent Commando series, there is freaking DICE from Sweden, who made Battlefield, there is Crytek from Germany, there is Funcom (Longest Journey, Dreamfall, Anarchy Online, Age of Conan, The Secret World) from Norway.

...and also I think Minecraft is made in Finland, not Sweden.

Such a great game, it also has some of the best digital voices on the NES.

Psygnosis (Lemmings, Wipeout) was a French company.

EDIT: Screw that, I think I was thinking about Silmarils, the ones with the legendary difficulty (Transarctica, Robinson Requiem)

I read somewhere that it was especially hard for developers to get funding from oversea companies...so that really influences where games are made. They're all usually clustered around the publishers because that's where the funding comes from.

That being said, I think it's really cool when games come from obscure places (at least from a video game perspective). I didn't really have any interest in Zeno Clash until I heard it was made in Chile, that made me want to play it. I still haven't gotten around to it though...

The Serious Sam games are developed in Croatia by the aptly titled Croteam. Serious Sam is so awesome.

I believe Deathrow on the X-Box was developed by a Swedish company.

Daze before Christmas, for the 4th gen consoles, seems to have been an Australian only release.
