Just got a PS3 slim, need info
Re: Just got a PS3 slim, need info
On the PSN, just like every other websites, you will need to assume that information could be stolen if its attacked by hackers. Thus I wouldn't recommend storing any critical info besides basic requirement - I shy away from using credit card, and buy PSN value card from retail or Amazon.

Yeah, if you always just buy cards, you'll never be at risk for having your money stolen. I'd do that.skyknight wrote:On the PSN, just like every other websites, you will need to assume that information could be stolen if its attacked by hackers. Definitely. Pretty under-appreciated game, although it did get mostly solid reviews from what I saw. The PS3 isn't too shabby on RPGs in general really. Nier, Tales of Vesperia, and Enchanted Arms are all very solid.MrPopo wrote:I'll also toss in a recommendation for Resonance of Fate. It's got a really cool battle system and an interesting way of telling its story.

Vesperia's JP only. Graces is coming, you've got Disgaea 3, and Valkyria Chronicles is amazing.brunoafh wrote:Definitely. I have a question. What is the internal memory for in a PS3? I see them listed with 160 gb and 320 gb and other variations. Is it like the 360 in which you can install the games onto your hard drive to reduce load times?

well yeah -- it's just a harddrive instead of a memory card.Opa Opa wrote:So it functions pretty much like a PSP.noiseredux wrote:yes you can. Keep in mind, swapping out the HDD is incredibly easy and far cheaper than it is with the 360. It uses laptop SATA HDDs, which can be found at pretty much any computer parts store. $50-60 can easily land you 320gb.
