Re: Bane.
I don't know, Bane isn't that interesting of a villain to me. Batman has better enemies in his rogues gallery. I never really read Nightfall though, but based on how I've seen Bane portrayed in the animated series, Young Justice and the Arkham Asylum video game I am really not interested in him. I know he's supposed to be some sort of intellectually match to Batman, but it seems there's always so much emphasis on his strength and size instead. That's fine for Superman, but I like Batman villains that are more psychologically interesting.

Re: Bane.
You really need to read Knightfall, then, as it is like the definitive Bane story. He pushed Batman to his limits with his masterplan, then physically broke him in half after he was at his limit. Batman was defeated. Bane won. It wasn't Batman who defeated Bane in the end, it was Azrael who finally defeated him.Gamerforlife wrote:I don't know, Bane isn't that interesting of a villain to me. Re: Bane.
Did they ever do anything interesting with Bane after Nightfall? It always sounds like he had that one good story and then became irrelevant compared to other Batman villainsBurningDoom wrote:You really need to read Knightfall, then, as it is like the definitive Bane story. Re: Bane.
I'm not a huge Batman fan so I don't know about most of Bane's appearances. I do know his short stint in Justice Society of America: Classified was pretty bad ass. Bane discovered that the original Hour Man, Rex Tyler's Miralco drug that gave him super powers for one hour out of every 24 was the basis for Venom.Gamerforlife wrote: Did they ever do anything interesting with Bane after Nightfall? Bane blamed Rex for his addiction and attacked him and his son, Rick Tyler (the current Hour Man) for lolz. There was a lot going on in those pages, what with the fight scenes, the interesting retcon, and Rick trying to figure out what the difference is between a person like Bane and he and his father.
Edit: Added a picture of Hour Man because Hour Man is awesome.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
