13 video game movies that almost happened... but not quite.

I would like to see a metroid movie if they went with an unconventional choice of director and found an amazing actress. I would like to see the majority of the movie just be Samus alone like in the games. Hollywood probably wouldn't go for something like that, but I think it'd be pointless to make it any other way.

That would be cool. I can imagine something like that. It might need a little bit of back story or flash backs, but I could see a good chunk of the movie be just about her struggles in finding a way through the planets and trying to figure out which space creatures are dangerous or not.

samus could never be alone. for a movie to sell, there would have to be somebody that samus falls in love with. zombies or vampires would also be incorporated some how.
if you took a shit, please put it back

A love story could be incorporated into flashbacks. The love story could probably even explain why she's alone or chooses to do what she does.

Seen vanishing point? Most of that movie is just a guy in a car. But there's a backstory through flashbacks. He comes across a few people that he interacts with throughout the movie. On his radio he's fed information from a DJ. Samus could have someone to talk to through communications through her suit. There would of course be parts where she loses contact and the feeling of isolation would grow. Or she could have help through some sort of robot assistant. Or maybe her ship has some degree of AI. Think of all the scenes in star wars that are just Luke and R2D2. And all R2 does it beep.

I won't bring up the cheesy Jarvis from Iron Man aka the over-obvious way to feed information to the audience. "THE THING THAT'S KEEPING YOU ALIVE IS KILLING YOU TONY!"
