Re: Smallville: The Final Episode and Memories ***SPOILERS***
IMO Seasons 1-3 were fantastic, season 4 was the worst, season 5-10 were meh. That said, I still need to finish season 10 at some point. I stopped watching at about episode 5.

I loved Lost too, just not not its finale. I had always hoped that the writers would prove that they DIDN'T make Lost too bloated and convoluted. That they would prove that YES we do have an answer for everything and we did plan everything out. Instead, we get a bunch of random stuff in the last season that doesn't get addressed at all. Who is that lady who killed Jacob and MIB's mom? Where did she get her powers that she passed on to Jacob? Where the hell did that mystical pool of water a.k.a. deus ex machina come from? Why does it have mystical power? Why did it turn the man in black into a shadow creature that makes noises like a machine? Why the hell do we never get his goddamn name? Why didn't the "sickness" work on Claire and Sayid? What was the deal with those stupid "rules" that Ben and Widmore talked about
They once said there would be a scientific explanation for everything. Instead we got a bunch of mystical bullshit. They once said they'd never do a lame they were dead the whole time reveal. So instead we get something almost as lame with the whole they were dead the whole season crap. They lied about a lot of things and ultimately just proved in the end that yes, the story WAS too bloated and convulated and they DID just make up a bunch of shit as they went along with no contingency plan
Still was a classic, balsy and original show, but one that fell under the weight of its own ambition. Kind of like Sega's life as a hardware manufacturer, you try to do too much all at once and it bites you in the ass. And some will say that certain things are open to interpretation. That's just a pretentious way of saying that the writers were too clumsy, lazy or inept to come up with a proper explanation for everything. Something that Fringe has actually been doing a good job of accomplishing, which is why I think it will ultimately prove to be a better, stronger show than Lost was. Fringe is more focused and not so damn bloated and convoluted as Lost was with its fifty billion mysteries and fifty billion characters

Ah, Fringe. In my humble opinion - it is the best god damned show on Television.
Plus - John Noble. JOHN. EFFING. NOBLE.

He really makes that show. Not that the other actors are bad, but he's just frikking godly on that show. Amazing actor
I gotta give it up for Anna Torv too though. That Olivia possessed by Bell thing she pulled off PERFECTLY. She pretty much became Spock with boobs

100% agree. What's even cooler is the differences between Prime Olivia and Fauxlivia. Prime is the sort of stoic, coolheaded tactician, whereas Fauxlivia was more happy-go-lucky. When the show started, I liked the Olivia character to an extent but I thought she was kind of a wooden actress.
Turns out she's actually a bit of a badass. Clearly the character is designed that way, and her alternate was not. It was really awesome to see Anna Torv play nearly a COMPLETELY different character that was the same character!
Don't even get me started on when Walter got those pieces of his brain back and went "all srs" on us, and then playing Walternate? The man is a theatrical god.
Re: Smallville: The Final Episode and Memories ***SPOILERS***
The Final episode was Lame...until the very end which was meant to tie it into the old school Christopher Reeve flicks...That was the only cool part. I will say I didn't like Smallville at first but got sucked in when I watched the first 4 seasons in a month or so. The premise was good but as many have stated the action was meh and honestly the whole Lana thing was tired because 1. She's not that hot 2. Every real comic fan knows its not gonna happen 3. If any of us were "Clark" we'd have been banging Chloe from ep.1. They did have some really good episodes too. The thing that stands out the most to me will always be that I HATED THE THEME SONG...Never have heard it all the way through and never will.
Buffy The Vampire Slayer was a much better TV show and Season 8 has turned out to bee an above average comic.
