Really though, have you seen clips of the game? You might want to see it before you spend 40 bucks on it...
I wouldn't drop $40 on it, but if I could get it via trade I'd take it. I'm bad at turning down shmups. Even shit ones.
I dunno, this does look pretty shitty, and I can find enjoyment in mediocre shmups too.

What a drop from the first two games.

Every Extend Extra is dirt cheap, although it is not a rail shooter.

Rei choaniki as well..if you're into that kind of crap :)

You can also get the famed turbo shmup "sapphire" on Ginga Ojousama Densetsu Collection. The other 2 games on it are not shooters though.

And neo geo heroes ultimate shooting. You can buy a hard copy from japan or just download it on the PSN.

On the domestic front, SNK arcade classics has Last Resort, which is an R-Type clone. Yeah, I said it.

Capcom classics collection REMIXED has side arms, 1941, legendary wings, section Z, forgotten worlds.

Capcom classics collection RELOADED has 1942, 1943, Vulgus, GUNSMOKE (hell yeah), eco fighters, exed exes. I forgot how cool the capcom collections are.

Ahhh. Darius Gaiden brings back memories. Bought the import for the PS1 back in the day, then my buddy picked up his US copy on the Saturn for 10 bucks. Perhaps he was proving a point...
