Not surprised about the 3DS. Not a particularly impressive launch lineup. Expensive. Not released during the holiday. 3D effect was used to entice people instead of the graphics, which is the selling point that could actually be shown off in advertising. And I was in walmart today and they don't even have a demo system set up. How are people supposed to see the 3D effect before they buy one?
But I've always assumed their plan was to cash in on the early adopters who will pay anything for anything, and then do a typical launch in fall with a bigger selection of games and the magic $199 price point.
