PC game pads that actually work?

Since retrogamer seems to have left the building, I'll pose my question again, anyone know of a good pc gamepad that works with emulators, or do you know of a good source for snes controllers and pc adapters?

For other games depends I don't know much about dedicated PC gamepads, but there are many XBox and PS1/PS2 adapters around which are the controllers I prefer, just avoid the 4-player ps2 adapters because they have a slow response, not too noticeable on most games, but very noticeable on fighters.
