I know that's not the point of the game). I'm thinking this is why Capcom just announced the game won't be out until 2009.
Lol, that'd be sweet. Planning for a year of PR hell! Why didn't Rockstar think of that?! :P

"and the fact that this video game is marketed to children and young adults.."

It's a video game. Video games are toys, just like rattles and bouncy balls. Didn't you know that?

Oh well. This just further strengthens my belief that the majority of racism that exists today stems from people who foolishly think others are being racists towards them.

Yey... uncultured America thinks that a game developed by a company started in another non-white nation (Capcom) is racist because it is based on another continent (Not North America) is racist because it accurately portrays the ethnicity of the locals in that nation.

Maybe there is a South Africa, or Egypt level... maybe that will shut them up and put white and eqyptian people in to spruce things up. Ugh, I'm tired of people.

But then, if you read all the comments to that girls blog (linked a couple posts before this one)... most readers think she is a fool. And I would assume as it is a black community, a good percentage of the responses are from said community. It's not like the complete black community of the world is in outrage... but yeah, fools, just like any fool, are offended for reasons they are ignorant of.

Funny, I didn't see any complaints from the Spanish about RE4.

And that is the strongest argument the gaming public is going to have, regarding this issue.

And this shitstorm is only going to get bigger. I know this is only one little blog post, but as the game gets advertised you can bet it's going to receive some fire.

Maybe people should worry more about rap music, and the type of lifestyle it glamorizes and the stereotypes it reinforces, rather than get up in arms about a 3 minute video from a game that is still a year away.

Just a thought.
