Favorite Party Games?
Re: Favorite Party Games?
Me and my friends always get together at the same congregational house where all we have hooked up is a Turbografx-16. We usually play Bomberman, Military Madness, take turns on some Bonk games, and play some schmups. (My friend has a crate full of HuCards along with pretty much every Turbo accessory from when his dad worked for NEC)

I've always viewed the N64 as a party console. It could just because it came out while I was in college and we used to play all the different multi-player games before and after the bars/parties and it was the first console to have 4 controller ports. Of course there's Goldeneye and Mario Kart 64 and then you've got Mario Party 1 & 2. Those are the only two in the series I need. WWF No Mercy and the other N64 wrestling games are the best wrestling games ever made and then the multi-player on Conker's Bad Fur day is excellent as well. Throw in Super Smash Bros, Mario Tennis and Perfect Dark and your all set.
I'd also give a shout out to Super Monkey Ball on the Gamecube. Monkey target alone is worth owning it as a party game.

Yeah I'd say the Cube was excellent for party games. Monkey Ball 1 & 2, Mario Party series, Smash Bros Melee, Mario Kart, Timesplitters series, Billy Hatcher (had a good multiplayer), and continued to have the Mario Golf, Mario Tennis etc.the King wrote:I've always viewed the N64 as a party console.

My personal favourite is probably Power Stone 2 or one of the early PS2 Smackdown games. You can't forget Micro Machines either.
