I just do WASD + Mouse.metaleggman wrote:How do you guys play this game, as in, what control scheme do you use? I've tried a few different methods and I think mouse and mouse work best...tho my scores don't show that...Fun game!

Equally annoying are the huge red fireballs that instantly shoot right back at you should any of your bullets touch them. You have to maintain a constant speed in a strafing direction, while still attacking it and also protecting yourself from other 'roids.Ivo wrote:I do Mouse to move and keys to fire (WASD).
The homing enemies are the most difficult I think, particularly when there's more than one type (accidentally burst an Earth while red guys are chasing you, or black hole + red guys)
On that note, I'm getting slightly better. I reached 740k on normal today. I dont think I'll ever unlock the crack bonus game.

I got my high score up to like 502K, which is good for me, considering I've played it at most like 8 times total. Really really fun though. The zoots are ridiculous tho...
I'm actually thinking the ideal control solution is a analog stick and mouse. Considering aiming with an analog stick in Geometry Wars Retro Evolved is awesome, but using a mouse in the game is equally awesome, seems like the ideal control solution...I'll have to try it out once I get a wireless receiver for my 360 controller.

I guess unlocking it is just really hardMozgus wrote: Equally annoying are the huge red fireballs that instantly shoot right back at you should any of your bullets touch them. I personally don't have so much trouble with the Sun. If you don't shoot at it, it will just scroll past and disappear on the other side - that is the wise thing to do if the screen is too cluttered. Another good way to deal with it is with the circular blast powerup - as far as I see, just one shot of those will kill it, and as the Sun is so large it will usually be hit without any trouble.

I finally got around to trying this out and am loving it.
I'm starting a new feature for Free Games and thought this would be the perfect start:

Maybe we should start posting top scores?
I can add the tally to the first post...

Are you sure about that? I thought a Zoot on hard counted percent-wise as zoots on Normal and Easy. If not, how can you know your progress on easier difficulty levels after completing a Zoot elsewhere? The color markers won't show it...metaleggman wrote:You guys, I reccomend getting the zoots on easy first because: A) you need to getZoots on all levels (just in case someone didn't realize that, I didn't) and B) it gets you ready for the challenge on the higher levels.
