Can anyone recommend the State of Washington?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

 I don't mind the rain, in fact I prefer it sometimes. As for liberals and granola, I can deal with both. I eat granola bars alot actually! :) As long as nobody's breaking into my car or home, mugging me, or trying to kill me then I'm fine!
I am addicted to video games, especially retro gaming from my era. I have: NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Gameboy, GBA, Wii, Sega Genesis, Sega CD, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, Xbox, and Xbox 360. I have probably over 1,000 games in total for all these systems combined. Yes, I need help and I wouldn't have it any other way! This is my passion and hey my wife still loves me!!

Sounds like you'll want to focus on the north and east sides then.

Good luck, Evildeadmanwalking77. My wife and I have been tossing around the idea of moving to the Seattle area for a couple of years now. Hobie is probably getting sick of hearing about it... LOL

My wife and I had never visited the Pacific Northwest, but the area intrigued us. So we took a very long road trip about two years ago and spent around two weeks in the Portland and Seattle areas. It easily exceeded our expectations. Beautiful surroundings and food that beats any other part of the country I have visited. The gray doesn't bother me so much. I would trade these hot central Texas summers for it any day.

I say throw caution to the end and move. You only live once my friend. Once we pay off some bills, we may be headed that way.

Thanks! We are planning to visiting Seattle in July and I have a feeling we're going to end up moving to Washington in general. I like the idea of Bellevue or maybe Redmond personally. It just seems to be the right place for my career choice in working in the video game or animation industry. I've heard that it's beautiful and has great food. Apparently Seattle is also known for loving coffee? I would suppose Starbuck's headquarters being there may have a small role on that? :)

There are multiple places in Seattle where there is a Starbucks across the street from a Starbucks. You will never have a hard time finding coffee here.

That is an understatement. The best coffee we sampled was from the various, countless coffee and espresso stands. Seriously, even the convenience store coffee is good in the Pacific Northwest.

Honestly, I'm not really a coffee drinker. I may have an occasional cafe mocha (or mocha freeze type drink) but that's it. I used to work at Borders Books cafe for a few years making and smelling coffee & coffee related drinks, so doing that for so long, listen to people bitch & complain that there's not enough espresso or froth in their cappuccino or latte just takes a toll on you. There's a shit load of Starbucks in NY too so I'm used to it and I just don't go in them unless I REALLY want a Mocha.
