Slept overnight at Toys R US to get a Wii reserved several weeks before launch. Day of launch, rolled into the store when it opened at noon (weird sunday launch) to see a line out the door. Took pity on a lady trying to get a wii for her young son, gave her my reserve..I guess the holiday season touched me.

Just the Wii, stayed outside of Walmart with my cousin all night in the freezing cold from about 1am-8am. We were the first ones in line and all we had were lawn chairs and 300$ in cash (each).

The longest I waited in line was the usual line at the register.

the only launch system I can remember buying was PS2. I worked at a store that sold them. So I just waited until my shift was over.

Just the wii. I was going to sell it on ebay. But I was gone for a week during the holidays and when I got back it wasn't worth the time and effort to make $50. Should have got a PS3 instead. Some idiot I worked with got 2. They were going for $1,000-$1,200 on ebay and he kept one. Because he wanted to play Tiger Woods. He lost out on $600 because he wanted to play fucking Tiger Woods.

I've never bought anything on launch day.

Ah my age shows....I saved for the Atari Lynx and bought it on launch day in 1990. My parents got me a game boy that xmas so it was a nice year.

$250 at toys r us for the lynx, 2 games and the visor...I still have it, the box and the receipt.
