Well I would but the other NES board I have is screwed. I lifted up a couple traces so I'm thinking it's scrap.

Can you add some bypasses? Granted the traces were mammoth in comparison, but I fixed a 2600 by patching around some corrosion spots.

I probably could try it but where do I get another CPU without buying a whole NES board?

Probably buy another parts NES. And if you'd want to donate that NES, I know people who need a couple 2A03's to reverse engineer so it'd be a worth cause. :)

Definitely. I've dealt with a lot of busted traces (and solder pads). Just use a wire (I like to use 30AWG for this) to make the connection that the busted trace was suppose to be making.

That's what I'm saying though, two stones with one bird. Not only will you get the NES that you f-upped working again, but make some use out of an otherwise unusable NES. Keep an eye out for a busted up NES in the wild (maybe you can find one where the case is smashed or something) just to rip the CPU out of it (might be able to use other parts as well). Either that or sell your busted NES for the cost of shipping, plenty of people could make good use with it. Anything is better than throwing it in the garbage. That's the way I look at it. If it's my fault it's broken, then it's my responsibility to fix it.
