I think the shortage of Halo only existed for people unwilling to walk from their Gamestop to their Walmart.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Ah. Well, I'm not surprised to hear that really.

Honestly though, that's no big deal to me. Despite the system's name, the 3d aspect is the least interesting thing to me.

I'm just happy because its a powerful new portable (I'm no graphics whore, but that doesn't mean I don't like purdy pictures, and that's always most impressive with portables) with some games on the horizon that I'm very excited for.

My first game will probably be Dead or Alive Dimensions. Portable DOA. Joy!

I'm too broke to get the system on day 1 anyway, and I still don't know what games will be out on launch day, so it all kinda washes out.

Edit: Just remembered I have another question for you if you don't mind. How does the "joystick" (I forgot what they're calling it) on the system feel?

I preordered the 3DS as soon as I could, but I am still unsure about what to get for my first game; I am deciding between Super Street Fighter 4 and Dead or Alive Dimensions. What do you think?

I would still pick up street fighter over dead or alive just because you will have a TON more people to play against :D

And I actually played exclusively with the analog stick on the demo. I found it to be accurate enough to my liking. The Capcom employee even noticed my play style and asked for me feedback on the game and the over presentation.

The UK list didn't seem to have DOA as a launch title (that was going to be my first pick), I dunno about American (is there a launch list out there yet). That, Pilotwings and Steel Diver were games I was looking out for at launch, but only pilotwings is on the list I saw, so I guess I know what I'm getting.

Why no Mario game for the 3DS launch?!?! WHYYY!!! Image
I may not be getting a game at launch because none of them really draw me in and I don't see myself playing them for very long.

RANT
Does anyone else see how nuts Preorder is? Just to get that bonus DLC. What other Retail product does a consumer put money down on before the goods are available? Then see that same product at half price a year later.

END RANT
Okay, you can now go back to raising your credit card bill.

I'll either get DOA Dimensions or Super Street Fighter IV or both. I most likely will get DOA since I already have two copies of SF IV on my PS3 with several arcade sticks on hand. Also, I could get the iPhone version for a portable experience for a fraction of the price but we shall see as the day gets closer. :)

Cars. Especially if they'll have limited availability or projected to be sold out upon release. I've pre-ordered a car before, and I know many who have done the same.
