When I was in College, we used to use big pieces of cheap polarizing film (like you use for stage lights), and put half of it going one way on the top of the screen and half going the other way at the bottom, and wear 3D movie glasses (with the polarizers made to correspond to each of the two views). Kinda darkened the screen a bit, but it made it pretty much impossible to see the other guy's screen - unless you peaked around the edges!
