here's my 2 cent: if you like the NBA 2K series, then you might like MLB 2K for your baseball needs. i thought the realism is more better than MVP baseball from EA sports.

I actually picked up World Series 2K a couple weeks ago. I figured I'd play that during our TR baseball month, because World Series Baseball 95 eventually morphed into the 2K series if you follow the lineage.

yes it did! also i know your only looking for PS2 sports game, but i recommend trying Tecmo Super Bowl for PS1 if your not planning to get the Madden series. It's quite fun IMO.

I recommend NFL 2k5 as well. I'd love to see the series come back if the antitrust lawsuit against EA could succeed as the game was better than Madden 2005.

Yeah, If I had to choose one NFL game from the last gen it would be NFL 2k5 over any version of Madden. If I'm not mistaken there are large online communities that still play it and updates the rosters every year.
