Wavebird is probably one of the best wireless controllers period barring this gen's movement ones.

I own the madkatz wireless controller and really like it.

Pros:
Rubber grips
Great of you have small hands
Nice analog stick
Great battery life (uses aaa)
D-Pad is better imo
Cheaper

Cons:
Mushy shoulder buttons
Tiny c-stick
Face buttons are smaller
Awkward positioning of start (between dpad and cstick)

Get the Wavebird man!

It's absolutely the best wireless controller ever and up there with Sega's Remote Arcade wireless Genesis pads from the 90's.

That's a negative in my opinion. AA batteries are more common and cheaper than AAA ones.

I would say its better than the PS3 controller for sure, the only thing the PS3 has over the Wavebird is the ability to shut the console off remotely.

The PS3 one feels too light IMO. I like the Wavebird because it has weight.

Nintendo really knows how to make good controllers. I think N64 and the NES controllers weren't that good. The NES dogbone, SNES, GC, and Wii are great controllers. Yeah, I know people might disagree on the Wii but I think playing NES VC games & New Super Mario Bros is great with it.

I own the Madcatz you bought. it worked fantastic, i kept it in good storage for a few years and tok it out for the first time a few days ago. It is constantly aiming up. it really sucks cuz i took good care of it because my wavebird is busted.

If there was a con to the Wavebird, it would be the lack of rumble but that's quickly forgotten when you're actually playing a game. ('cept maybe for Twin Snakes like an earlier poster said.)
