Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Yeah. I should get that job. Talk about being paid to do absolutely nothing.

I think the thing about living here that bugs me the most is that. :(

That and I too have had the pain of a LeoPalace. You guys who lived in one probably remember the delivery-hooker fliers that came in the mail... Both guys on the L & R of me seemed to order one every night.

I guess it's not that common, because I lived in over 10 different apartments over the years, and this is the only time I had this problem. But I have seen those "Pay us back" signs posted on other peoples' doors in other buildings.

To Upsidedown:

Yeah man, Leo Palace really sucks. The room was nice and it was new with a lot of amenities, but the walls were too damn thin. My company put me in there for 18 months, so I had to rough it. At least I didn't have to pay the full amount.

I'm not a student, a teacher actually. Im an adjunct, basically an educational mercenary. I rent cause im never in a place for too long. Nearly all the apts in town are owned by one company so its pretty much the only game in town. I have been here longer than any other place so far. Im trying to get a job as a tech writer though, so hopefully my merc days will be done soon. If not i may go back to school and get a PhD.

Im done with my contract and my lease in May so no worries, just have to deal with it and I have pretty much given up on the hope of getting my deposit back. Im pretty sure that went away when the manager mistook me for another Latino tenant and started telling me I hadn't done something, and I told her that not all Latinos look the same.

I don't look anything like the guy by the way.

My friend worked as a driver for a deriheru business, good money for part-time, according to him. He always asked me to distribute fliers for 1000 yen at my apartment complex. I did it once, for the hell of it. It's funny since almost all of the tenants at that complex were female.

Mendoza, you should consider a lawsuit. Seriously. If things are this bad already, then they'll likely continue and you can probably expect they'll blame you for the damage and attempt to charge you for damages once you leave. So document the damage, document their reactions, document every racist claim they make, back it up with names, pictures, and witnesses if you can get it. Because from the sound of it, these guys will try to screw you over as much as they can.

Dunno know where Mendoza is but if it's Japan, it'll cost more than all moving costs total for a lawyer.
If I ever lived in an apartment with management like that, state-side, hell yes I would do it.

I think my Leo was filled with half NOVA peeps (who in turn vanished after it collapsed), 1/4 construction workers and the rest hookers of some sort. Was quite the low-point of my apartment living.

Im in Texas. My roommate and i considered it and since insurance was involved everything is documented. He still wants to look into it but im not keen on it due to expense and the fact that ill be done with the place soon. But yeah I thought about it.

Its funny i didnt like the place i was in before cause they were not too friendly as managment, but damn they never let shit slide. They fixed stuff asap and kept complex clean.

I understand how expensive it can get, but I think you should be documenting everything anyway. That way you have something to fall back on if your renter decides to sue you. Sure, likely they won't, if things are that bad then they probably wouldn't pursue it, but it's still a good idea to keep your options open.
