Other Collections?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

I used to collect Hondas and Nissans (not toys), but that became too costly (smog/reg in Japan is upwards of $2,000 each) and not to mention parking spaces. Now other than games, I collect SGT/JGTC memorabilia and limited edition Choro Q's and Tomicas. I have been letting off on the Choro Q collection though. I am still all for Tomicas since their limited edition models are actually LIMITED EDITION plus their value increases.

Not necessarily a collection, but I love reptiles and other critters. I have 3 snakes, a bearded dragon, and a pacman frog

I had to do a double take on this one and remember not every state has a bottle deposit like here in Michigan. Up here when someone talks about collecting bottles it's because they need cash.

Haha, no, no, she actually collects them because she thinks they're pretty, not because we need money...though we do. I believe you can collect cans for that here though.

True story, a Vietnamese woman living on the Gulf Coast was laid off from her job in the wake of the oil spill and ended up surviving solely by collecting cans off the roadside and trading them in for the few coins they provided. When she filed for a claim due to her lost job, she was denied because "can collecting" was considered employment.

Well, other than games I have a sizable music collection, some comics from when I collected in the 90s, and a good number of my old toys such as Transformers, Hot Wheels/Matchbox, and Lego. I have been fetching a few cars recently that I either lost as a kid or never had.

Cans or bottles here, anything carbonated has a 10 cent deposit on it. If you go to like a tailgate where people won't be saving their own cans or bottles you'll find people there just collecting the empties for the money.

Bottle deposits went away in Texas when soda stopped being sold in large glass bottles. There's no deposit paid on cans, but they're worth enough with metal recyclers for some of the general public to save and sell.

Love the oddball stuff! I've heard of a few people doing the Pez thing, but antique pens is one I haven't heard before though I'm sure there's loads out there. Any specific reason for the Pens?
I really like pens, ha
