I got one, Like the technology. Have not had half the issues some people have complained about when it comes to accuracy/delay/ etc.
Looking forward to future games including Child of Eden

The XBox 360 and PS3 are both littered with clone FPS and TPS.

Every single one of those games bores me to death. Currently the best game on 360 IMHO is Super Meat Boy.

As for Kinect, I doubt sincerely "core" games will ever target that due to the usual issues of speed and accuracy with console pointing devices. It'll be party/dance games for some time to come yet. Not that I blame Microsoft, because it's making them a shitload of cash.

Yeah, I highly doubt that we'll see much good come out of Kinect. Microsoft is pushing hard for it to be a "Wii, too!" deal, and that's exactly how most publishers will run with it unless games like Project Draco happen to bring in tons of cash.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Kinect_games

If 2011 really is going to be all about Kinect, then I hope that a whole wealth of games have actually managed to stay a secret for the past two years or so. The list of upcoming games is looking depressingly small, and if we are getting a ton of games for 2011, I think it's likely they'll all be games that will be rushed.

You can't make a quality game in just a year unless you keep the scope small, and let's face it: the big boys don't know how to make a game that isn't either needlessly extravagant or utter shovelware.

Clone? No. Same genre? Mostly. Though I suppose your right, Halo, Call of Duty, And Battlefield are indistinguishable from each other, and every single one of them is very boring and sells horribly. The list you gave had some errors, such as Haze being on the list.

There is very little variety in for kinect games presently. Mainly 3rd party sports games that aren't as good as the first party sports game, Minigame collections, Dance and fitness games. There isn't much there for someone looking for a game that uses the features of kinect other than to use the technology as a tech demo. You have games like Kinect Sports, Dance Central, and Kinectimals Which are good at what they do, and are entertaining. Then you have MotionSports: Play For Real, Sonic Free Riders, Deca Sports Freedom, and Game Party: In Motion, which are shovelware.

I think it'd be cool for some adventure/story based gaming. Though I don't see how people are going to stay standing up and jumpin around for hours on end.

Sonic Free riders really shovelware? Disappointing.

Holy crap, that makes 87 First-Person Shooters on the 360! This really IS becoming a problem.

erm, I guess so. At least some of them are good. Every popular system has shovelware though, and i guess FPSs are 360s shovelware.

Fps' are just the popular game right now, I don't know what It'll be in 5 years, but It's what everybody plays.

It's like fighters of the 90s and Platformers of the 80s.

I'm not too sure. I think FPSs are going to be difficult, if not impossible, to dethrone. Why? Here's why: http://gameoverthinker.blogspot.com/201 ... erson.html
