Did you order that Cart from RetroZone? Does it work well with your NES? I'm thinking about ordering one for myself. I remember playing it in arcades before I got my NES. I'd sure like to play it again as it had differences from the home version.

converted over from the Play-Choice 10 arcade structure
I think you mean from the Nintendo VS hardware.
I am right there with you on the VS to NES ports from Retrozone. Id pay $50 for VS Balloon Fight or VS The Goonies - though I think there is a port of Goonies already through another cart maker.

Yeah, I'm seriously considering ordering VS. Super Mario Bros. One, because I've been wanting to play it again for ages, and second, if I support RetroZone's efforts, maybe more of my favorite arcade games will get ported as well.

Keep in mind when you're reading it, that book is a frustrating source of great quotes and some bad factual information.
Super Mario Bros, the NES version that was packaged with NES,
It wasn't packaged until later in the console's life (with the updated Control Deck package and the Action Set, introduced in '87-'88). During the test marketing in New York in '85 the included games were Duck Hunt and Gyromite.
