Fake/Counterfeit NES games?

Some official NES carts will have the epoxy chips inside. My Gyromite cart that has the adapter inside, the Gyromite Famicom PCB has epoxy chips on it, like you said. My SMB/Duck Hunt cart has epoxy chips. And sadly, my Famicom Contra cart has epoxy chips in it. I was scared the FC Contra might have been a well made pirate cart (let's face it - pirate FC carts are abundant) but I've confirmed it's official.

My Fami King Kong 2 that I just recently got is glob top as well. That's interesting about the SMB/DH though since it isn't an adapter cart. I haven't had one of those since getting bits.

Hmm, they're both Konami carts. That's interesting. Though I know Konami didn't do this with every cart. Castlevania 1 and 3 and Kid Dracula (Famicom versions) all have DIP mask ROMs.

I think Nintendo used the epoxy chips on SMB/Duck Hunt to save some money, after already releasing both games. Just a way to get a rock bottom price.

The snes game has a generic sticker on the front, it just doesnt look right, and the warning label that should be a sticker in the back is acually part of the plastic itself

Some official SNES games did in fact have the warning "label" printed in the plastic.

Those are definitely legit carts, now I've looked back at the pictures. CV II has the number stamped into the back label and while CV doesn't have a stamp, it does have the shadowed 'fake stamp' on it, but all the ones I have with it are legit and are also 24.

Even in the US Konami made some of the boards for carts. I can't remember which it is, but one of my Jackal or Super C have a board with Konami on it instead of the usual Nintendo board. I'm pretty sure I have a chip and a glob version of one or the other.

Indeed. Some of the later Mexican made carts have the molded warning label and the sticker on the front is dull instead of the nice glossy ones most of the games have. My Super Turrican 2 is like this.
