Picked up a "new" fighter...

Post by Majors »

Found a Ninja Master's for cheap and remember reading somewhere that it was good. So I picked it up and we like it! Little better than HSF with the moves and chains. I totally missed this one in our acrade when it was new, do yourselves a favor if you havn't already done so and play the ROM.

Man, yeah, same as everyone here. I like Garou, Last Blade 2, and Samurai Showdown (any in the series).

No way...you gotta get on some Magical Drop 3! It was a fav for Saturn, so when I picked up a MVS, it was my second game I bought next to KoF'96. I never played much of 2, did it have something I'm missing?

Looks like a trip to gamefaqs or klov...I bet it was a old PC/Fami game. But I dunno...I do know that 3 was the crack before Tetris Attack/Panepon. It never has the strat that Puyo had, nor the fan-love that Puzzle Fighter inccured, but for drunk speed-twitch action, it was tops.

Metal Slug is my favorite no question...i played it so much that i managed to get to level 6 on 1 credit wich isnt bad considering the snowy level 3 can be tricky since it has some precsision jumping and that crazy bald dude.

Metal Slug 2 was good to in many ways better than the first but some of the levels get just a bit too crazy.

Metal Slug 3 way to hard but it had some nice scenery.

4,5 not nearly as good and again they get way to hard to soon and i think 4 and 5 arent even official Snk titles since snk was out of buisness by the time they came out

Not keen on 1 vs 1 fighters

Post by Ivo »

As I'm not keen on fighters, it's easy to choose the excellent Metal Slug.
I haven't tested the vertical shooters (Strikers) but I don't expect that I would like it better than Slug.

Ivo.
