And rightfully so. Not sure what it is but that state line kills the fun as you head west.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Sorry that was the mandatory KCMO reactionary threat. For a Racketboy meet up I would cross the line and go into Kansas maybe as far as Peoria. But outside of Kansas City on either side of the state line there are lots of comic conventions and vintage game stores. I know there is also a Apple II convention every summer. But that is a different crowd.

What about St. Louis? I'd probably be able to head down there for a meetup, especially since I have family living down there. It's not too far from Indiana and a quick train ride from Chicago can get you there.

I personally would be down for either STL or Indianapolis. I'd prefer Indy because its closer but if it's in January or later I can likely make it to STL too.

I might be down for either. I'd for sure be at a St. Louis one seeing as that is where I live.

if st. louis is something that people want to consider, i would definitely be up for the drive. the main reasons i suggested indianapolis are that it's relatively centrally located, i know the city and can help out with people finding lodging, eats, etc, and i can basically organize the whole thing easily. there is also gencon here next summer so that might be something cool as well.

if someone wants to come through and do something like that for STL, then by all means let's do it! i just wanna game with some people from this forum.

also i'm glad someone voted for "You are dumb."

I really like the St. Louis option with my having family there, but my concern is that it might be too dangerous a city to hold something like this in.

ST. LOUIS HAS CRIME.

I had three of my uncles get jumped during Mardi Gras a few years ago. Apparently it's the worst crime city in the U.S. now.
