Vizio brand HDTV - love or hate?
Re: Vizio brand HDTV - love or hate?
I have a 37" Vizio that I've had for about 20months now, absolutely love it, never have had any issues with it. Hope this helps.

I have a 27" Vizio HDTV and I love it. I can't remember how much it was, but it beat out every other TV in size and price in my budget.

Hi,
First post here but been lurking this place the last 3+ years
Just got a VIZIO last week and let me tell you for 1600 I got a XVT553
55 inch LCD TV matte screen
LED intelligent back light (blacks looks blacks beat my sony xbr6 by a long shot)
240hz
WIFI
2YRS WARRANTY from COSTCO (got 3 because of AMEX)
try to find something like that for that price from SONY or Samsung
The model above won a CNET editors choice award 2010, also Consumer Reports
and many sites gave the thumbs up
btw all my tvs in the last 25 years has been Sony (13, 20, 27, 42 and 46) but this TV looks as good for less from what is currently avaliable

I've got two Vizio HDTVs. Both have been great TVs; although I don't have any current generation systems that I use 'em with.

I have heard nothing but great things about Vizio, a friend has one and it looks great with the PS3 hooked up via HDMI.

I have a 47" in the living room, 32" in the master bedroom, and a 22" in the guest room. All are 1080p LCD HDTVs. They are all awesome. I have never had one problem with any of them, and all were refurbished. So that's like a double-whammy. I have had the 47" one for about 2 1/2 years, maybe longer. Not a single hiccup. The others are more recent, more along the lines of 1 1/2 years old, but still, they get used A LOT. We're all gamers here, right?

I love all the Vizios in my house. Awesome picture, no issues and you'd be hard pressed to find a better TV for the money. Hell, I think they beat TVs with much higher price tags.
Re: Vizio brand HDTV - love or hate?
I have a 42inch in the living room I have had for a year with no problems whatsoever. I have a 36in in the master bedroom I have had for 4 years, and a 19in for 4 months. They were all bought as display models at Walmart for 25% off regular price and I can tell you I will never buy another brand. Vizio is the best all around.
On a side not I owned a 55in right before I got the 42in, and it was awesome. The only reason I traded it in for the 42in was the 55in was too big for my space at the time. Now I wish I had kept it because it was truly an epic TV.

The offerings of tv last year were light years ahead of stuff they had in the past.
Thier higher tier stuff is one par with many of the other major brands, but their lower and mid tiers are pretty hit and miss, and when they miss their pretty atrocious.
Id still take them over say Philips or RCA though.
