I could see wanting it for the easy auto-updates and having it instantly added in your Steam list. The first Witcher had a lot of patches and it's so much easier to just have Steam do it for you. I prefer DRM-free w/ bonuses though, so I've chosen gog.BigTinz wrote:MrPopo wrote:Yeah, I'm kind of leaning towards that as well, as none of the free games being offered interests me.Niode wrote:I think I'd still rather buy through steam...
Why would anyone rather get it on steam?

What Niode said. Plus, Steam is just install once and it stays fully up to date, which is nice. I honestly don't care about an artwork PDF, and important information (such as manual and map) would either be available through Steam or the internet.

The Witcher 2 is a day 1 for me. DRM free is good and all, but I'll probably bite the bullet and do the retail thing since the CE comes with a buttload of awesomeness. This is one area where DLC suffers imho.

Releasing two months after Dragon Age 2, this could be my post DA2 fix. I might have to check out the first one now. I had no idea it was an RPG, it thought it was just a horror/shooter.

That is some nice swag. I wonder if the DVD version will be DRM free. Doesn't make any sense to put DRM on any version if there's one without DRM. Unless GoG is going to watermark their release. That would make it easy for them to track whoever puts it on TPB.

I'm hoping it will be a steamworks copy. If it is, then I'm going to buy retail.Hatta wrote:s1mplehumar wrote:The Witcher 2 is a day 1 for me.
