I thought about getting the bang box but I already had a US copy of HotD Overkill. I saw a lot of them being sold in UK ebay stores.

Not only the cover, but there are Extra features in the PAL version of ICO.

PAL ICO also has a 60hz mode, works on U.S. NTSC consoles.

Great collection, some Lift Off or Goo Gone will help in removing those gummy tags.

Thanks, man! To be honest, though, a number of my Dreamcast games have seen better days. I bought those before I began getting picky about the condition of my games.
ZeroAX wrote:I have the exact same problem. And it's not a problem when buying Mega Drive games, but try finding mint condition Gameboy games.

Anyway great collection man. You have some of the best games of all time there.
Thanks for that! Yeah, the Genesis is going to be my next project considering complete copies are much easier to get a hold of. I don't know why I kept my GameBoy boxes, but I regret not having more diverse tastes back then, haha!
Flake wrote:Don't be. A) Almost all of your games are from key franchises that have been around forever. That's good stuff. B) Wait ten years. It'll all be retro.
Ahaha, touche! Thanks.

Hmm, I'm pretty sure the Bang Bang box was an Australasian exclusive... I know they sold the same sun shells separately in the UK but not altogether, I think.

Yep, you're right. When I eventually phase out my PAL PS2 games and keep buying NTSC games, you can be sure Ico will be amongst the ones I keep. PAL Odin Sphere also apparently has a more solid framerate, apparently. The ZOE2 Special Edition, exclusive to PAL and NTSC-J, have extras that aren't available in the NTSC version either.

And as for the stickers, I can only take off so many. It'll work a charm on the Dreamcast and Gamecube game in particular, but the cardboard case ones are going to have to stay. I'm too scared!

Haha, yeah. I've really got to work on my N64 collection, but it's not cheap to get them complete and mint. I'll get there eventually, I hope!

I have used Liftoff on glossy cardboard with no problem. Works great on any non brittle plastic such as DVD cases too. Careful of using it on Jewel cases, that brittle plastic might fog up. Any oil based solution such as Alcohol, WD40 or even cooking oil spray may help those.

Is there a making of video and ICO Game Trailer in your PAL Shadow Colossus?
PAL SOTC Additional Footage is not on the NTSC U.S version.

EDIT
alienjesus just confirmed the PAL version having these.

Does anyone know if SOTC Japanese Best version has an ICO Game Trailer?

Gee, I don't know if I'm confident enough to try that on card, but I'll certainly give it a shot with generic cases. For the ones I've done in the past, I've just used dishwashing liquid and water myself.

And yes, I just checked and they are in the PAL version. They're under a section called Bonus Material in the main menu along with a Gallery. Do you have that in the NTSC version? However, a message pops up beside both when you highlight them saying that the videos will only play in 50hz, sorry. Besides that, I'm under the impression that there are some other extras to the SOTC PAL version too, like a squirrel during the ending. Also, you've got to love the cardboard cases they come in. they're exceptional!

My U.S NTSC version does not have a bonus Material option. Do you play your PAL Shadow Colossus in 60hz? Perhaps the movies may go 60hz if the is game initially is selected in that mode?

What is this squirrel thing about?

Yep, I play in 60hz. I can't tell if it switches to 50hz or if it's a bordered 60hz but I would assume that it reverts to 50hz as it says.

As well as the Bonus Material and some glitches removed, the PAL version also has a squirrel appear during the last cutscene of the game. He doesn't show up in any other versions of the game. I believe fans of the game call him Pal or Pally the Squirrel. :D I'm sure you'd be able to see him on YouTube.
