Reports of The Office's death have been greatly exaggerated

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Actually, I love this change. The two biggest laughs this season for me have been the disposable camera joke and the bobbing for apples joke.

I have watched every episode of the show, and while some seasons have been better than others (big shock!), this one is pretty good so far.

I feel like it's gotten to the point where we're now laughing at a retarded person, not a regular person doing something stupid.

It's not at it's peak (last season was pretty awesome), but I still enjoy it.
Not my favorite comedy, but it's near the top.

I've only watched the first few of the British -- I just couldn't get into it that much.
I know why fans of the British didn't like the American one to begin with though... the US version initially tried too hard to be like the British one. The US version didn't hit a stride of its own until season 2 and all the characters started flourishing (instead of just Michael, Dwight, Jim, and Pam)

My favorite British comedy is still The IT Crowd.

Americans who think they're more intellectual than everyone will defend the british one to the death and talk about how it's so much "smarter" but I think most people, British and American alike, prefer the american version. Not to knock the british version or anything, I've only seen bits of it, but the American version has had a lot more time to build up characters and stuff.

THE OFFICE is currently in a transitional period, and much like a long-running comic that's changer writers, you'll have some bumps in the road. The show will be fine, it just needs time to get back in a rhythm.

And please, let's not say anything negative about Erin. A sweetheart, she is.

But I'd sure as hell be afraid to get a blowjob from her.

Both are great.

The American version has been on the air much longer, so eventually everyone in the office has turned out to be a little crazy, not just Michael and Dwight. Which is a good thing. A lot of times, the short scenes with minor characters are the funniest.

The British version is purely awkward situation after awkward situation mostly based around a crazy boss (David/Michael), crazy coworker (Gareth/Dwight), and Tim (Jim) loving Dawn (Pam) who is engaged. There were some great awkward moments, like Gervais dancing.
