Saturn Daytona´s framerate is worst than an animated gif picture.
Sega rally had a good frame rate! they should´ve taken that engine and expand it a bit.

Anyways, I looked online and it seems we didn't get the online play. That seems to be the only difference I think (other than possibly being 50hz only).

I don't know why people keep bashing the Sega Saturn in 3d games it had While it was difficult to develop for compared to the PS1 fantastic 3d games that showed off it's power.GigaPepsiMan wrote:

For a game that shows off some of the Sega Saturns 3d Power try Virtual On it looked and played extremely close to the Model 2 Arcade but lacked transparent polygons which the model 2 Arcade also lacked.
Btw the Sega Saturn Daytona still one of my favourite games of all time despite it's graphical short comings
The Daytona USA CE edition for Sega Saturn had much better graphics but of course played and felt very different to the original Arcade version.
Perhaps a remix ala Virtua Fighter remix would have been better than a CE edition
