Lords of Thunder
Re: Lords of Thunder
Hmm, the PC Engine one seems to look much sharper. Maybe I'll give it a go some time. For now, I'm enjoying the hell out of the Sega CD one.

Re: Lords of Thunder
It's not a common game and people like to hold onto it. Enjoy your Sega CD Version.
Though FWIW here's another comparison with music samples.

Re: Lords of Thunder
in the audio department it really comes down to the SCD version being more balanced and the TCD version being a lot grungier. i'll always prefer the nasty mid-range guitar distortion on the TCD version, but the SCD version gets points for better drum patches and funky bass workpepharytheworm wrote:I actually notice quite a few differences in the music. The sega CD version seems more balanced in sound and the turbo one has louder solos and more treble and have a static distortion but the rythem is harder to hear. In the Sega Cd version one song has an awesome bass solo in it, where the turbo version doesn't but it has a nice bass riff in the opening track thats louder. The turbo has a lot of tiny whammy leads missing from the SCD. Theres more, one day I will have to do a track by track comparison. Over all I
prefer the SCD music better for the more balanced sound and thicker distortion.
